I feel like I've been gone for ages, but really it's only been a month or so. I was out of town for a few weeks and then I had my mom come stay with us for a couple of weeks, so needles to say we've been pretty busy around here. I'm excited to start with new designs for the upcoming fall and holidays, but first I would like to sell some of the clips that I already have so I have posted a couple of lots of hair clips on my facebook page, so go and check them out!

I also wanted to post these adorable hand cut and hand embroidered hair clips I made... they are my favorite and my little girl get's lots of compliments when she wears hers. So I wanted to make them available to you! I'm selling them in groups of 3 for $20.00 ( I sell them for $8-9 dollars each at the craft shows) so you're getting them for a good deal. The clips measure around 2 inches round and are on a large snap clip.

So I don't know if you guys know this about me, but I LOVE listening to music!!! It helps with my moods, gives me energy and helps me while I'm creating new hair clips!! This clip is made with eco-friendly felt and it measures right around 2 1/2 inches. The snap clip is set in between two layers of felt, so it will stay in even on baby fine hair. The snap clip measures 1 1/4 inch. This clip was all hand cut and hand stitched in a pet/smoke free home.

Pillowcase Dress

This dresses are so much to make and super easy. I used the same tutorial for all 3 of them, just changed them up a little bit. The last dress I used a really wide ribbon for the straps and I also sewed some ribbon at the bottom... I think it looks cute! My daughter also loves to wear them! My friend called me about a week ago to tell me that she had found a small dresser outside by the dumpster and wanted to see If I wanted it so that I could redo it! I got so excited.... you see I've been waiting to do this for sometime now, so this was the perfect opportunity... especially since it was FREE!

*as you can tell from the picture below it was in pretty bad shape... along with the whole on top it was a really nasty yellow and it smelled pretty bad!
I cleaned it of with soap and water and realized that it was not yellow it was originally white!
So my husband tried to patch the hole on top but we did not have enough putty to fill it completely so you will see in the pictures below how it turned out!

*after cleaning it with soap and water I started to paint it, I used white (matted) spray paint. I only bought 2 cans and soon realized that I was going to run out. So I used some of the white paint that we had and painted the rest. I let it air out for a few days (since it smelled pretty bad) and then gave it another fresh coat of spray paint! ( I LOVE SPRAY PAINT)

*I went to Hobby Lobby and bought their 5/$1.00 scarp paper, I knew I wanted green and white and this is what I found... not my first choice but oh well. So I modge podge the paper on there and smoothed it down with a credit card...it worked really well!

*I don't know if you can tell from the picture above but the paper was a bit too green for my taste and since I knew I wanted to use this piece of furniture in my craft room I wanted to tone it down just a bit... so here's what I did:

*I took some light green pain and white paint and painted the front of it and sanded it down just a bit, giving it the "distress look"

then I took the same paint and painted over the modge podge paper and let it dry and sanded it again!

*I can't seem to get a good picture of it! but here it is finally finished.... I think. Who knows maybe I'll change it again !

*for now it will a good place to put my sewing machine on!

*now I'm thinking that I might sand the top a little bit more!

So anyways it did not turn out the way I had pictured in my head, good try though... right?

Busy with crafts

The last couple of weeks I've been hit with the "craft" bug. Here's a few pictures of what I've been up to. I made my little girl a 4th of July outfit. Cut the star out with my cricut and stitched on and then made her a matching korker bow!

I made these monogrammed frames for the kids room. They share a room and these colors go well with their room. The letters are cut out from felt and the rest is scrapbook paper.

I bought this plain red onesie a while back and I was originally going to use it for the 4th of July outfit but ended up using the white one instead.... so today I decided that I would do this to it!

The bird is made out of felt and the legs are ric rac ribbon! Pretty easy to do!

The last couple of days I've been redoing my craft room so I painted the shelf white and I think it looks better than it did before... I'm not sure if I have a before picture but I will try and find one. I will get more pictures of the other side of the room.

I also painted the trim white on this message board so it would go with the rest of the furniture in the craft room.

Then to remind me that any day can be a good day I made this. I cut out the bird with my cricut and then used foam board and mod podge scrap paper on there and put it together... quick and easy!

Well like I said once I'm done with the rest of my craft room I will post pictures!

Here's a preview of my next giveaway. I'm doing this darling pink kufi crochet hat and a silk flower to go with it. These are so adorable, I just love them. The rules for the give away will be different than the last one. So please pay attention.

I will be posting the rules of the give away in the next couple of days ( I'm really tired right now and I need to go to bed).

So since this is one of the bigger items that I've given away... instead of doing a week period... I'm going to extend the time to 2 weeks. So you have two weeks to leave me comments. I will pick the winner through random.org.

so first of all I must let you all know that there was a mistake on the dates for the giveaways. I usually do One week... so when I posted last Friday Oct. 31st in my head I was think Friday 31st - Friday the 7th and posting the winner on Sat. (today)..... then as I was reading my post today I realized the mistake.... lesson learned.... proof read!!!!
